研究内容

Molecular assembling and cooperative phenomena of biomolecules including biomacromolecules give us useful implications to construct smart nanodevices having multi-functions. We quests the molecular assembling science and engineering of amphiphilic molecules such as phospholipids, glycolipids, aminolipids, and polyethyleneglycol (PEG)-lipids interacted with biomacromoleucles such as bioactive compounds, genes or proteins, in order to design and construct novel nanocarriers for controlled drug delivery and release systems. We also proposed novel polymer thin films (nanosheets) made of biocompatible and biodegradable materials for biomedical applications such as wound dressing materials or drug releasing materials. Recent challenges include the fabrication of inkjet-printed conductive and elastic nanosheet for printable and flexible electronics and stimuli-sensitive fluorescent nanosheets as microenvironment (pH and temperature) sensing platforms.
