Spatio-temporal pattern formations, BioAesthetics
We are performing both biological and aesthetic studies/expression simultaneously. For biological science, we are mainly working on spatio-temporal pattern formations in cyanobacteria, from intracellular generation of circadian rhythms, cell differentiation patterning, to population dynamics. We are also interested in aesthetic study on the relationship of biology to our sense of life, philosophy, socieal and ethical issues, and the arts. For this, we are running the BioAesthetics platform named metaPhorest since 2007.
