Research on probabilistic information processing

Our key research focus is on finding ways to extract as much useful information as possible from any given data. To provide rigorous justification for our methodologies, we seek a formal probabilistic information processing approach. Specifically, we are developing theories about statistical inference, genome analysis, survival analysis, sound and image processing, machine learning, model selection, and related topics. We hope to contribute to our society by developing easy and effective methodologies of utilizing huge data which become available by the development of sensors and networks.
